Port
Blanford - Newfoundland |
Located
in Port Blandford overlooking Bonavista Bay and
adjacent to Terra Nova National Park. Port Blandford
is 2 1/4 hours drive west of the capital city
St. John’s and approximately 7 hours drive
east of Port Aux Basques. Our 7 charming, clean
cottages on 1 1/2 acres in a clearing of tall
quaking aspens overlooking the ocean are fully
equipped with modern amenities.
There is plenty to do while visiting with us!
Fishing at three salmon rivers within five minutes
drive, hiking in Terra Nova National Park, The
Discovery Trail, The Kittiwake Trail, Salvage,
etc, 1 hour from Trinity & The Trinity Pageant,
Boat Tours are nearby, On T’railways.

Luxury, fully equipped 4.5 star holiday Lodges for rent on the Humber Valley Resort in the heart of Newfoundland' natural playground. Humber Valley Resort is tucked into the woods between the shores of Deer Lake and the northern most extension of the Appalachian mountain chain. Our Lodges lie on the banks of Deer Lake, line the fairways of the award winning, Doug Carrick designed River Course or nestle deep in the woods. Great care was taken during development of the Resort to preserve as much as possible of the natural habitat and our guests are often rewarded by sightings of wildlife in and around the Resort. Frequently seen are moose, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks and a wide variety of birds.
All our Lodges are finished to a very high standard and come complete with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, wireless internet access, satellite TV and DVD players, luxury pure cotton bed linen, hypoallegenic duvets and pillows, pure cotton towels and a range of in-room toiletries. Our Lodges range in size from 3 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms. All our bedrooms are en-suite. All the Lodges have extensive open plan living areas and some feature a second lounge. Some Lodges are equipped with hot tubs which are avaialable as an optional extra. BBQs are also available as an optional extra.
One lodge is disabled adapted with flat wheel in access from a covered carport.

Our fishing lodge is located within the beautiful town of Forteau, Labrador on the north east coast of continental North America.
Salmon fishing is a prime summer activity in this region. It is here that competent anglers will enjoy one of their greatest opportunities to land trophy Atlantic Salmon. This area is rich in a wide variety of tourist destinations and historic sites. Accommodations:

Riffin' Hitch Lodge offers the best in Atlantic
salmon angling and outdoor leisure tourism. The
perfect wilderness spot for the avid angler, incentive
travel, corporate retreats or just getting away.
Some salmon weigh in at over 30 pounds and there
are spots in the river where brook trout and northern
pike can also be found. We are fly-fishing
only. A wonderful selection of flies is available.
Accommodations: 7000 sq. foot wilderness lodge.
Each of the seven bedrooms features a complete
bath. We have hiking trails to encounter the real
wilderness of Labrador and view beaver, loons,
caribou and eagles. Package includes accommodations,
meals, maid service, guides, air transportation
from Goose Bay to the lodge, and licenses.

Our
lodge is located on the island of Newfoundland,
and is situated on the large, pristine Black Lake
surrounded by numerous lakes and valleys filled
with game. The waters are filled with Brook Trout
and landlocked Salmon! Recommended tackle: spin
casting or Fly.. whichever you prefer.
Accomodations: A comfortable 24 X 42 ft. lodge with
(4) dual occupancy bedrooms, washroom and shower
facilities, living /dining area with picture window
offering spectacular view of the lake.
We also offer trips to the Labrador by float plane
to experience true World Class brook trout fishing.
2-3 pound trout are common with the ocassional lunker
at 5 or 6 pounds! |

fishing in Newfoundland. The seven day Atlantic
salmon fishing package consists of daily fly-fishing
trips with our licensed guides offering a great
chance to hook one of the many trophy Atlantic
salmon. Our salmon fishing season runs mid June
to mid August. We have excellent guides for fishing
our area and hundreds of lakes teaming with
trout.
