Bring the kids, load up the canoe and head for The Anchorage Provincial Park. This park is part of the wild, untamed beauty which abounds on Grand Manan island! Relax on the sloping sandy beach with the Bay of Fundy nipping at your toes or check out the nearby freshwater ponds. One of these ponds has some excellent fishing - a great spot to cast your line for trout. It’s also an ideal place to push your canoe or your kayak into the water with a a shallow place for young children to swim and splash. The multi-style camping with hookups, the picnic sites and panoramic views of the Bay of Fundy make this an ideal camping destination.

Hiking trails provide an excellent opportunity to experience the beauty of the island. Do some beachcombing, check out the wildlife, book a day of whale-watching. email: Linda.Daggett@gnb.ca
