Home
of the Inuit since time immemorial, the Tunulik River Fishing
Camp is located 75 miles east of Kuujjuaq, gateway to Quebec's
Ungava region. The camp itself is located on the shores
of Ungava Bay near the mouth of the Tunulik River, giving
anglers easy access to the estuary islands and the tidal
waters of the Tunulik River as well as other excellent but
unnamed Char rivers a few miles to the east. Packages originate
with round trip air flights from Montreal.
Those who have fished with Arctic Adventures return home
with many exciting stories about the strong Arctic Char
they caught. They also come home with lasting memories of
their Inuit hosts, the Arctic scenery and the wildlife they
encountered during their visit with us.

Arctic
Char are fast powerful fish and
provide outstanding action on both lures and flies. Medium action
spinning rods and reels with at least 100 yards of 8 to 10 pound
line are recommended. Quality reels with a smooth, solid drag mechanism
are a must to withstand the searing runs of a trophy char. for
Fly fishing a eight to nine and a half foot rod and a good corrosion
resistant reel and a minimum of 100 yards of 20-pound back line.
