Fishing - Ontario East Resorts
Guide
|
Eastern
Ontario is a region of contrasts, with the rugged beauty
of the Canadian Shield in the north and the lush countryside
of the St. Lawrence Seaway to the south. A region that is
home to the nations capital of Ottawa, and abundant in its
heritage. Barry's Bay and Algonquin Park in the North of
the region through Lanark County to the Land O' Lakes and
the Rideau waterway to Lake ontario and the St. Lawrence
River all offer great fishing opportunities for walleye,
pike, lake trout and both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
The
region is steeped in a nautical heritage that hikers and boaters
still enjoy today. Travel amid the tapestry of scenic freshwater
lakes and canals which stitch the unique countryside together.
The Rideau Canal runs through the heart of the region. Enjoy
breathtaking scenery from both land and water, throughout
Ontario East.
