with catches weighing up to 6 lbs. They can be taken with almost any
common live bait and artificial baits like the Hula Popper which incite
ferocious strikes and thrilling displays of jumping fish. Canadian
Record: 10 lbs. 8 ounces.
Smallmouth
bass stake out different water than largemouths and their habitat extends
further into British Columbia and all of Vancouver Island. Fly fishing,
bait casting and spinning techniques are all effective. Canadian
Record: 9 lbs. 13.5 ounces.
