Alberta Trout Fishing

Lake Trout
Speckled Trout

alberta offers lots of fresh water and lake and brook trout fishing.
You can fish them in the clear, cold lakes and streams of Alberta. We have Lakers, Speckles, Rainbow, Brown and Steelhead.

You can fish for the Cutthroat trout in the dramatic Ram River, the plentiful Rainbow trout in the Crowsnest River, and the seemingly never ending populations of Arctic Grayling in the Smoky River.

The Brook trout is an angler's favourite on light spinning tackle or fly rod. For the pure joy of fishing head to the wild rivers of the north where you'll find some of the finest natural brook trout fishing anywhere. Powerful from working against the fast, flowing water, ready to strike hard, the brook trout will give you a run for your money.

Imagine fishing for trout in crystalline azure waters.....setting up camp in the shadow of the boreal forest.... snuggling into a perfectly welcoming wilderness cabin... .choosing the perfect lure or fly... and finally savoring the taste of your pan fried fresh trout.

An Alberta fishing lodge provides opportunities for great trout fishing.
